Now it may see its big, 100-year-old storage building–which is owned by Seattle U.–grow a few stories taller.Capitol Hill Seattle Blog has the details (and posted the picture). The proposal is to make the first floor retail, floors 2-5 student housing, floors 6-7 classrooms and offices, and floor 8 meeting and conference rooms. It’s all part of the rapidly-expanding university’s plan to add 2.14 million square feet of new space to its campus. Throw in the school’s switch to Division I basketball and its hiring of beloved UW assistant Cameron Dollar, and it looks like the UW may not be the only big dog in town.
