Christine O’Donnell is turning into the weirdest political treasure hunt.First the 90’s anti-masturbation campaign on MTV, then she kind of took it back, saying she’d make her decisions based on the Constitution. But as recently as 2006, the Tea Party-backed US Senate hopeful was profiled in the Wilmington News Journal (via the Washington Post) which claimed that she “considers homosexuality an identity disorder.” To disprove anyone who would, for some reason, be surprised, the Washington Post publishes the full quote from the reporter’s notes: “People are created in God’s image. Homosexuality is an identity adopted through societal factors. It’s an identity disorder.”This, plus her recently-uncovered “I dabbled in witchcraft” clip are all making her a pretty surreal candidate. I bet she was really fun to party with back before her chastity kick, though.
