And yet he’s announced he’ll run in the GOP primary for her seat. And more, per The Seattle Times, he says he’ll cast himself as a handsome, dashing outsider, just like Scott Brown, the little-known ex-jock who claimed Ted Kennedy’s legacy seat in Massachusetts. He’s even hired some of Brown’s consultants.The only problem with his strategy? While Brown is a sexy, Tea Bag-ish outsider with a full head of hair, Benton is just another Republican foot soldier with a face and physique, ahem, best suited to Olympia. His official government Web page is full of legislative positions, but lacking in Brownian allure. In particular, Brown famously posed half-naked for a 1982 Cosmopolitan centerfold (image after the jump). So, Sen.
