After our cover story last April about unexpected acceleration in its Priuses, Toyota issued a huge recall and declared the problem a result of faulty floor mats.Just don’t tell that to James Sikes, whose little Wheezlebub made it all the way to 94 MPH with a stuck accelerator before help from a California Highway Patrol officer allowed him to come to a stop. Said Sikes after the harrowing ordeal, “It definitely was not the floor mats.”
