Welcome to the King County Local Dive, a new weekly podcast that highlights headlines from Sound Publishing newspapers throughout Washington state’s largest and most diverse county.

On this week’s episode we discuss a Bellevue Police and Fire pilot program that sought to find better ways for authorities to safely respond to mental health crisis situations; Raymond Still from the Enumclaw Courier-Herald breaks down Enumclaw’s push to leave King County; and we give an update on the County’s move to expand the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill amid pushback from certain stakeholders and advocates.
