You know what the world needs really, really badly right now? Another conversation with Portlandia/Wild Flag/Sleater Kinney/random ad agency star Carrie Brownstein. Features in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and Seattle Weekly have just not been enough (and her appearances on every other media outlet between Wayne’s World and Cooking World haven’t done the trick, either). So, against their better judgment, the business-casual suits at KIRO 97.3 have once again asked me and Marco Collins to shack up with in-house music guy Josh Kerns, this time to talk music, etc. with Ms. Brownstein. Our conversation runs on Sunday at 3 p.m. They’re actually going to give us a full hour. And since we were only on the phone with Ms. Brownstein for 15 minutes (see above) we’re going to pass the rest of the time by chatting about the things we’ve been listening to, the shows we’ve seen, and the music and shows we’re looking forward to in the near future. Listen and snark, y’all.
