Who: The WalkmenWhere: Rockstar StageWhen: Saturday, August 30, 5:15 p.m.The alternate title of this post should be: How I spent nearly an hour waiting in line for a cup of beer (the pic above was when we were only halfway through the line). My friend Jill commented that the good thing about the Walkmen was that you only needed to stay for the first three songs of theirs, because the rest of the set would be the same straining, red-faced, late-night indie rock confessional repeated 12 times over. She was right, for the most part, but it was nice to see an indie rocker actually sing to the point of having veins bulge from his neck like a soul singer.
