When I put out the call for local bands and labels to send us their new records, there are reasons I prefer digital copies over mailing or dropping off physical copies. Here’s a big one: Some of you people creep me out. Case in point: the Snoqualmie country/punk band T Bagging Bandits (Facebook-listed Influences: Drugs and Alcohol), brought 2 copies of their new record Fist Full of Whiskey by our office; both were wrapped in official T Bagging Bandits underwear, pictured above. It was thoughtful of them to provide both women’s (lace!) and men’s (approximately size triple-octuple large) options, but based on the band’s name, I shudder to think where these garments have been. Besides that, our interns are now scared to open the mail. All of this is to say: Thanks but no thanks. Keep it classy, Seattle.(I would be remiss, though, not to mention that if you would like some of these tighty-whities for yourself, T Bagging Bandits is playing a record release show at the Crocodile on Thursday, September 13.)
