“What’s In It For?” is the best track and obvious choice for the first single off Avi Buffalo’s self-titled debut album – it’s sweet, youthful, eminently catchy, and features the wonderfully puzzling lyric “you are tiny and your lips are like little pieces of bacon.” The track’s Alice In Wonderland-like music video is equally appealing – Avi and his bandmates sing and play their instruments in a pastoral setting as CGI flowers and sea anemones bloom and sway around them. Towards the end, jellyfish start flying around, which is kind of scary, but it’s a charming clip – kids frolicking in the sun is always a beautiful thing.
