What’s in a name?

A rose by any other name would still smell as—well, as much like an ashtray and some cheap beer, quite frankly. But still, we’re not entirely sure as to why the Hideaway—the new club that inhabits the space formerly known as Sit & Spin (only sans the washers, dryers, and pizza oven)—was named as if it is a Prohibition-era sanctuary for thugs, but hey, we’re happy to support a club run by and for the local underground garage and punk scene. The Hideaway hasn’t been open for long, and some of the kinks are still a little, well, kinky, but we have faith that they’re going to pull through. Still, if you’re really on the lam, we suggest you go elsewhere and save the Hideaway for a good old-fashioned party. 2219 Fourth Ave., 206-441-0464.
