We’ve been hearing whispers about this record for years — it is 5 years in the works, according to Light in the Attic — but it wasn’t until this morning that I had my “ah, ha!” moment that a date is near. Please Don’t Tell Me How The Story Ends: The Demos 1968-72 drops on May 11. It is the 50th release from Matt Sullivan’s Light in the Attic Records, the local label that specializes in unearthing past gems from the likes of Betty Davis and Rodriguez. Not exactly a bad way to celebrate a milestone, if we do say so ourselves. We’ll patiently wait to hear the record. Sooner rather than later, please.
