We’ve already made plans for you and your friends on Thirsty Thursday! (You’re welcome.) Brite Futures and That Go perform battling DJ sets at Zobel in the Central District this Thursday at 9 p.m. Prolific music-video director Noel Paul of That Go worked with Brite Futures back when they were Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head, directing their video for “Sophisticated Side Ponytail,” and recently shot their yet-to-be-released “Too Young to Kill.” This is Brite Futures’ only appearance until they play the Bumbershoot main stage on September 3, so die-hard fans are advised to come and rub elbows with the band. (Really, it’s a small space.) Bonus: Zobel serves $3 beers all day and night long, as well as some pretty good Ethiopian food to help prevent a hangover.Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
