Well, Led Zeppelin is playing its big reunion show tonight … about 5,000 miles away, in London, England. I didn’t get a ticket, and I’m guessing you didn’t get a ticket either, but Britain’s NME will at least be providing a song-by-song account live as it happens on its blog . Meanwhile, Jimmy Page seemed to try to temper expectations in an interview with Q magazine: “I’m not going to compare anything to anything. Before you know it people will be asking how this [reunion show] compares to the ’70s.” He also added, “When we did [1994 MTV performance with Robert Plant] Unledded we totally changed the format of the songs. It was revisiting, but it wasn’t a facsimile reproduction. But it’s great to be playing this music again with the people who lived through the creative process of its making. It’s a powerful experience. It feels like the right thing to be doing.”Oh, and based on NME’s fan polling, here’s the Top 20 songs people want to hear tonight:1. “Kashmir”2. “Stairway To Heaven”3. “Whole Lotta Love”4. ‘Rock And Roll”5. “Black Dog”6. “Immigrant Song”7. “When The Levee Breaks”8. “Dazed And Confused”9. “Since I’ve Been Loving You”10. “Heartbreaker”11. “Communication Breakdown”12. “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”13. “Ramble On”14. “Over The Hills And Far Away”15. “Good Times Bad Times”16. “Achilles Last Stand”17. “No Quarter”18. “The Song Remains The Same”19. “Going To California”20. “In My Time Of Dying”Me, I’d put “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” somewhere in the Top 10 for sure…
