Violence and hip-hop are not always as aligned as some critics suggest. However, just two weeks after the well-publicized shooting at Chop Suey, in which rapper Trama of Black Senate was shot, another member of that group, Contajus, took a bullet in the leg this past Saturday.News is still trickling in but it appears that Contajus was shot at a skate park in Everett. His injuries are not life-threatening although I’m sure it was a scary scene no matter what. Contajus wasn’t at the center of the altercation and based around the folks that I’ve talked to, the shooting had nothing to do with the Chop Suey incident. We’ll keep you posted as more news materializes, but for now, the plea still continues: Put Down the Guns People!!–Jonathan Cunningham
