I think it would be very naive to think that in this day and age.” Well, much like Dylan telling Rolling Stone that modern music was unlistenable, we’d have to read Neil’s quote in context to really get the gist of what he was saying. But naturally, this is when self-appointed pundits like to say “The dude’s outta touch.” But being a cantankerous curmodgeon is different from being out of touch. Well, when was the last time it changed the world, folks? I’d just like to revisit one of my favorite Bob Dylan quotes on this same subject. “This land is your land and this land is my land, sure, but the world is run by those that never listen to music anyway.”Whew.
