Unfortunately, the band’s van broke down right before their last Seattle show, which meant they had to cancel, but you can go watch their new music video (it is the work of one Alice Cohen) for “Icthus Hop” over at Pitchfork. It is a bizarre, hectic collage affair filled with fishes, of course (since the icthus is derived from the ancient Greek word for fish, though in present-day terms “icthus” generally refers to the Christian “Jesus” fish you see devouring the Darwin fish on every other minivan on the road), and pills that behave like fishes, and crying eyes and clocks. But as Talbot Tagora’s lyrics are mostly indecipherable and the song itself is bizarre and hectic (yet weirdly compelling), I think it’s a good graphic representation of the madness.
