Two years after blasting everyone’s minds to outer space with their Sub Pop debut AwE NaturalE, Seattle’s Stas Irons and Cat Harris-White are announcing the galactic return of THEESatisfaction with a new album, EarthEE, set for release on February 24. Check the debut single, a dreamy, circular, mbira-driven incantation called “Recognition,” above, featuring Black Constellation co-conspirators Shabazz Palaces and Erik Blood. The album will also feature guest spots from Porter Ray, Taylor Brown and Meshell Ndegeocello.

The title of the record may be a sly nod to “Earthseed,”a fictional religion based around the tenet that “God is Change,” created by frequent Black Constellation muse and Seattle sci-fi author Octavia Butler in her novels Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents.
