Tommy AuDevon Clifford: 1979-2010Devon Clifford, the drummer of the Canadian dance-punk band You Say Party! We Say Die! passed away this morning after suffering a brain hemorrhage. On Friday night, Clifford collapsed onstage during a show in the band’s hometown of Vancouver at the Rickshaw Theatre and was taken to the hospital after lead singer Becky Ninkovic asked fans in the audience to call 911. Clifford was 30 years old.YSP! WSD!’s label, Paper Bag Records, has released the following statement:”It is with absolute sadness to report that our dear friend Devon Clifford passed away just hours ago in a Vancouver hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. I request that we respect the family’s privacy during this incredibly difficult time.”What a tragedy. My heart goes out to Clifford’s family and bandmates.
