Though the Sonic Boom website says that their new Capitol Hill store will open tomorrow, December 11, the store — which is located at 1525 Melrose Ave., between Pike and Pine — will actually open on Saturday, December 12, barring disaster. To quote Sonic Boom owner Jason Hughes’ e-mail:We’ll have to clean and organize the store but are gunning to be open on Saturday morning if we can. You can bet there will be an email announcement. You heard the man: sign up for Sonic Boom Records’ e-mail blasts, and you, too, can find out exactly when the place opens so you can ravage the stacks of vinyl I can’t help but suspect they’ve amassed during the store’s absence. Just try not to trample anyone.
