This week’s edition of Rocket Queen focuses on the top 5 local singles of 2010 thus far. In addition to Hoquiam, Past Lives, S, and Narrows, I wrote up Absolute Monarchs, a new project featuring former Das Llamas’ guitarist Shawn Kock. They play the Comet on April 2, and I can’t wait to see them live. Check out the song “Killing the Old” over on their MySpace page–the 3-track version of the song doesn’t come close to the stunning rendition on their EP, but you’ll get the general idea.
