They’ve already played two well-received shows in the past two days and tonight, I’m eager to see what they’ve got left in the tank. Not many local or national hip-hop groups have the stamina to pull off a three-night stint in one city, so what Common Market and Blue Scholars is doing is impressive on face value alone. The fact that I’m catching them on the last night of this tour de force could be great, or really underwhelming. That remains to be seen. But tickets are available for the time being so if you missed them on Saturday and Sunday, and want to check them out, tonight is your last shot. In addition to Common Market and Blue Scholars, local MCs Macklemore and Dyme Def are also on the bill. It should be a blast. Over on Seattle Show Gal’s blog, my girl S.S.G has some footage of Blue Scholars performing from over the weekend. It’s actually more audio than video but definitely worth checking out.
