The Vera Project is celebrating its 10th anniversary and last night guests were invited to enjoy a photo exhibit of Vera history: shows, events, and evolving locations shot by photographers such as Paula Kieko, Tom Heuser, Curt Doughty, Morgan Keuler, Seattle Weekly freelancer Chona Kasinger, Seattle Weekly photo intern Victoria Holt, and Tammy Cartwright. The show also included an interactive time-line of Vera’s history which could be added to by attendees, and a listening station of recorded Vera live shows. For those who couldn’t attend, there was an ongoing live facebook/twitter feed in response to the question, “Why do you love Vera?” Participants reflected on the uniqueness of a strictly all ages club and the valuable space it provides for teens to engage in a community of art. All free cocktails were appropriately sans alcohol!Photos by Victoria Holt.Published on January 28, 2011
