The supermodel Karen Elson did a kind of reverse Madonna – she was born in England and had a successful career there before marrying Jack White and moving to Nashville, where she’s apparently adopting a lot of the area’s characteristics – including country music. “The Ghost Who Walks” is the first track off of her forthcoming debut album of the same name – this clip is directed by her husband, which is appropriate since the entire record was produced by her husband. It’s not a bad song – the slide guitars sound nice – but Elson’s vocals aren’t thrilling me. I’m not sure she should make a career switch just yet. However, I do have a simple solution to making this song sound better – have her husband sing it.
