Team Dresch, circa ’94-ishUnsurprisingly, it’s looking absolutely phenomenal. I went to a ton of excellent festivals last year (including Pitchfork and All Tomorrow’s Parties), and MFNW was definitely a highlight. They haven’t released the entire schedule yet, but the presence of the almighty Team Dresch is reason alone to block out the third week in September in my schedule. Can’t beat the price, either: $60 bucks gets you a wristband for all 4 days of the festival. Other notable names include Bad Brains, Sunny Day Real Estate, Titus Andronicus, Explosions in the Sky, Girl Talk, Monotonix,The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Cymbals Eat Guitars. More info can be found over on their website.
