Sure, Bumbershoot’s about the music. But you ‘gotta eat right? While you’ll find plenty of the usual festival suspects (in a manner of all things deep fried or on a stick), I can’t in good faith really recommend those—though no judgment here if that’s what you end up with… That said, if you care even a sliver about your meal or snack, here’s my top three picks on what to eat between sets. NICOLE SPRINKLE
1. Stumbling Goat Bistro from Phinney Ridge: Serving Pork belly BLTs, soup, salad, and spritzers on Fisher Rooftop. When you need a full meal.
2. Pei ‘Meni, aka “The Dumpling Tzar”: Beef or Potato Russian Dumplings on Fisher Green. When you just need something tasty to help soak up the booze.
3. Biringer Farm: Strawberry shortcake, brownies and smoothies on Key Roadway. When you want something sweet (from a real farm) that hasn’t been drenched in oil or coated with chocolate then popped on a stick.
