Folks all over town are down on their luck. Jobless, penniless, but still looking to party, we’d guess the majority of their good luck has come bundled in the many free and low-cost events that have sprung up all over Clubville. Enter the Sunset Tavern, Ballard’s most elegant dive. Its eloquently named (and free) Movie Mondays have been the saving grace of not a few poor partiers for over a year now. Each Monday night, one of our city’s movers and/or shakers shows up with some variety of music-minded flick and a crate of LPs, a giant movie screen is erected where the stage sits, and the rest just sort of happens.
