Sub Pop’s 20th Anniversary bash is a benefit, with the money getting divvied up amongst the performers and those performers picking whichever donation-recipient they want. This is old news, obviously, but I hadn’t paid any attention to where the money was going, etc., until SW food editor Jonathan Kauffman

forwarded me this link the other day. It’s a pretty fascinating list to scan. Did you know The Vaselines were enthusiastic about yoga? Or that Patton Oswalt and Tad Doyle BOTH felt strongly about U.S. veterans, and that Beachwood Sparks and the Ruby Suns both feel strongly about the welfare of animals? Pretty fascinating, eh? But perhaps none so fascinating as Les Thugs (who are from Angers, France, mind you) giving their money to the Northwest Film Forum.
