Retribution Gospel Choir, which features Low leader Alan Sparhawk on guitar and vocals, and Low bandmate Steve Garrington on bass, has just signed to Sub Pop. As someone who appreciates the obvious brains behind Low’s glacially-paced work, but doesn’t have the patience to stay awake during it, I love the idea that Sparhawk and Garrington are now doing something noisier and evidently more aggressive.
