Renee McMahonMonotonix is probably the wildest, boldest, and absolutely bat shit crazy garage rock band in Israeli history. And if they’re not, I want to know who is. Local fans of Monotonix might have caught they’re enjoyable antics a number of times when the trio played Seattle in the past and should be able to attest to the carnage the band leaves in its wake. Instruments get set on fire, clothes are ripped off, crowd surfing (while playing instruments) typically ensues, and everything quickly turns into a hot, sweaty, fist clenching disaster. But that’s just the theatrics folks, because musically, the band hits at every angle and sound good.If your heart can withstand that kind of mayhem and you want to check out Monotonix this Saturday, we’ve got a pair of tickets to giveaway to a lucky reader. Just email us with the words Monotonix in the subject line and a winner will be chosen at random. Even if you don’t win, tickets for the show are $13 in advance and local bands Unnatural Helpers and Black Eyes and Neckties are opening up. Good luck folks.
