Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon, and Meat Puppets will support the recently reunited Soundgarden on July 30 at the Gorge in what is their first proper local show–the Showbox thing was a rehearsal–since the band played Mercer Arena in December 1996. It does indeed seem that, finally, Soundgarden the band–and business–are firing on all cylinders. Tickets are $65 and go on sale Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m. via LiveNation.com.This should put to rest the rumors (which we would never, ever propagate) that Soundgarden is playing Bumbershoot or Block Party.
