Pop quiz: Name the 27 faces of Hip Hop History shown here. Go!Happy Hip Hop History month! If you’re in the mood to celebrate one of pop culture’s most innovative and evolving art forms, head down to Washington Hall tonight between 7 and 11 p.m. for an all-ages Hip Hop History Month Kick Off featuring a museum opening and meet and greet with special guest speakers. The event is organized by 206 Zulu, the hip hop culture organization founded by Afrika Bambaataa and group who successfully encouraged Mayor McGinn to officially proclaim November Hip Hop History Month. We phoned 206 Zulu for more information but were unable to reach anyone to talk about who’ll be speaking tonight or what exactly the museum entails. Though we’re guessing at least a few faces pictured above will be in attendance. Head down tonight and tell us all about it in the comments! More information can be found at their Facebook event page here.
