I’m not a fan of Jakob Dylan’s music, but figured “What the hell, I’ll check out Bob Dylan’s son for a few songs”, yet I was amazed at the way friends were taken aback when I told them I was planning to see him. Despite their reactions, his music is not offensive in any way, but rather like a mid-level 70s singer-songwriter dabbling in roots-inflected folk pop: Melodic, breezy tunes with imagery of life’s softer moments.
