The Intelligence, the primary creative endeavor of co-promoters Lars Finberg and Susanna Wellbourne, is heading out on an epic European tour for the rest of April, May, and part of June. They’ve chosen to assign a nautical theme for the evening. I just got off the phone with Finberg, who was already down at the venue, decorating with Wellbourne and sound-checking with house band Puberty (who will be debuting new material tonight).”It’s purely based on that’s the outfits we wanted to wear. I have this admiral jacket i’ve been wanting to wear. We were going to do a tikki theme, but the weather’s been so weird, I didn’t want to risk people having to wear shorts.”DJ Porq will be on hand as usual, and they’ll have a guest MC tonight, one fetching gal named “Ade”, best known for her stints hosting karoke nights at the Bus Stop on Capitol Hill.
