Phosphorescent’s Here’s To Taking It Easy is a rowdy little piece of music from the Brooklyn-based alt-country band; the new music video for “It’s Hard to Be Humble (When You’re From Alabama)” matches its freewheeling, devil-may-care tone. It’s a rollicking song, in which Matthew Houck croaks out a travel diary of sorts, singing, “I mean baby all these cities/ They all start to look all the same;” the clip is an ode to a summer tour, showing Houck and his bandmates on the road, drinking beers, watching ducks from a boat, shaking tambourines, and riding motorcycles with some babes in tow. An ultimate feel-good video.
