On the second Saturday of every month, DJs Tim Betterley and Sharlese Metcalf have been hosting a band and dance night at the Wildrose called Brush Off. The simple premise is this–starting at 9 p.m., bands play; after that, DJs spin dance music. It’s only $5. And tomorrow night is a very special edition of Brush Off, as it is doubling as a celebration of the lovely Sharlese’s birthday.
The live-music lineup is pretty exciting too–it’s Stephanie, playing their second-only show since coming off an extended break (their show at Cairo last month was sweaty, wild, and awesome), and Flexions, who’ll likely play new tunes from their just-announced forthcoming album, Golden Fjord. Hit it up!
