Of all the cast members on the addictive train-wreck-of-a-show Jersey Shore, Pauly D–real name Paul DelVecchio–is arguably the most sane. Admittedly, he spends an obscene amount of time applying hair gel, lifting weights, and tanning. But he also does an admirable job avoiding the drama–getting kicked out of the club, getting arrested, etc.–that his often belligerently drunk housemates get into, opting to take to the sideline and provide insightful observations like, “I’ve never seen the kitchen this bad. There’s hair extensions, there’s finger nails, there’s like a tuna fish sandwich on the ground. It’s like World War III went down last night. It’s crazy! So, compared to the rest of Jersey Shore’s persistently popular “stars,” Pauly D is the most appropriate choice to host a high school party … right? Movin’ 92.5 seems to think so.
