No word yet from the man himself about why he stepped down, but his replacement has been announced, via a press release sent by Interface Booking’s Brent McCrossen:Jason Grimes takes Charge of all Booking Duties at High DiveInterface Booking and Mgt – the Seattle talent agency in charge of talent buying for High Dive- has just hired Jason Grimes. Starting immediately Jason will be in charge of all the talent buying for High Dive. Jason Grimes has taken his lifelong passion for music to extremes in recent years, becoming a driving force in Seattle’s music community. “Jason’s entrepreneurial attitude, strong communication skills and passion for the industry have brought him great success. We’ve had the pleasure of working with him many times and we’re thrilled that he has agreed to be our full time talent buyer” say Eric Poll owner of High Dive.UPDATE: Kwab is still booking around town, just (understandably) scaling back. “I am booking Reverbfest and Sunday Bloody Sunset at the Sunset…happy to be not booking 7 nights a week at a club. Amicable split from High Dive, no problems or drama to report, Jason will do a great job and has my blessing.”
