Morrissey performing at the Paramount Theatre (photo by Michael Alan Goldberg)A few weeks ago, there was talk that we may see/hear little to nothing from one Steven Patrick Morrissey for at least the next few years — following his marathon 18-month world tour in 2006-2007 — fueling speculation that the mighty Moz was seriously contemplating retirement as he closes in on his 50th birthday (May, 2009). Not so fast. Apparently, 2008 will bring a greatest hits collection with two new songs, as well as a new studio album sometime toward the later part of the year. The touring continues as well — Morrissey will be back out on the road in January, then after a short break pick it up again in March. Hopefully, another Seattle date is in the works — he was nothing short of fantastic at the Paramount Theatre last May.
