Monotonix drummer Ran Shimony at the Comet earlier this springAs we’ve said again, and again, and AGAIN, Monotonix are not a band you want to miss. They’ll be at the Comet this Friday, unfairly competing against the Les Savy Fav show across the street at Neumos. If you don’t want to risk dashing back and forth across Pike Street all night, consider heading down to Olympia this evening. The brilliant, brutal boys from Tel Aviv will be playing at the Brown House (1604 Bathel Street) around 9pm, along with Old Time Relijun, and Angelo Spencer.I know–it’s freezing cold and raining. Watching a movie on my couch sounds like a fine agenda for the evening, but I’m heading south on I-5 around 8pm tonight. They are that good.
