Making the rounds in the blogosphere over the last 24 hours is this MP3 summary of 40-plus minutes of Fugazi stage banter compiled by James Burns and originally posted by Henry Owings over at Chunklet. Plenty of hem-hawing gets done about frontman Ian McKaye being terribly uptight about keeping the chaos under control at his shows, but as a woman who’s done her time in the pit and taken more than a few elbows to the chest (and worse), I always appreciated the fact that they insisted on keeping people safe. Hardcore, but heartwarming, you might say.
