We had kabobs and while they did their laundry, we chatted about last night’s off the hook Sub Pop party (two and a half stages of Pacific NW goodness and super stiff drinks) and their slew of other SXSW performances. Within minutes of beginning to walk down Red River to the festival, I ran into the “Ballard Brigade” from the apple war who played Wednesday and then wandering the streets was this fine young gentleman from Champagne Champagne (who you can check out at Beerland tomorrow at 3 if you’re in town). I’ve been downtown for one hour and I’ve already had two vodka crans, heard ‘Sugar Kisses’ live and nearly set myself on fire. It’s shaping up to be one happening evening. Stay tuned.
