Local band Friday Mile is giving away a free download of “FYI”–if you’re willing to become the band’s Facebook friend. The track was recorded in Portland during a show earlier this month. If you’ve only heard Friday Mile’s polished and perfect-sounding songs on KEXP, this version of “FYI” offers a window into the band’s more enthusiastic live performance. Facebook isn’t the only place where the Seattle pop outfit is getting attention these days. Smaller music blogs are starting to positively review last year’s Good Luck Studio, too. It coincides nicely with the band’s official iTunes album release last week. The band plays the Crocodile with Grand Hallway and Portland’s Ritchie Young on April 8.
