Are you a student who digs local music and is always the one lugging your gear to shows and can get pictures that are in focus? If you answered yes to all these questions, please keep reading. We really want to talk to you.Seattle Weekly is looking for a fall photo intern to take pictures for its daily blog (Reverb), weekly print section, and monthly magazine (Reverb Monthly). We’re looking for someone who knows the basics of photo journalism and brings a willingness to experiment and try new ways to turn the mundane into the magnificent. The internship is for credit only, and the intern must be receiving college credit. Start/end dates are flexible. Responsibilities include:– Shooting concerts in theaters and clubs (need not be 21 or a fan of Kings of Leon)– Processing images and creating slideshows– Shooting general photos, as needed, for the music section and monthly magazine– Assist in maintaining our clubs databaseQualifications:– Currently enrolled in a college or university– Experience shooting live music– Experience shooting food is a plusIf this sounds interesting to you, please send a note, resume, and samples of your work to ckornelis@seattleweekly.com.Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
