Last week at SXSW, a documentary by director P. David Ebersole called Hit So Hard world-premiered; the film is about the life of former Hole drummer Patty Schemel, who’s originally from Marysville, Wash., and has thus far led a turbulent life of rock and roll and a struggle with heroin addiction. But the main reason a ton of people will be seeing this film when it’s released doesn’t have much to do with Schemel. Hit So Hard contains until-now-unseen footage of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain performing a song they wrote together, poetically entitled “Stinking of You.” In the film, Love is said to have said, “Kurt used to hang around us, ’cause he hated his band [Nirvana].”Hit So Hard will officially premiere in New York City next week on March 28–and the original Hole lineup is set to appear together at the event for the first time in 13 years. Hopefully the film will make its way to Seattle soon after. Here’s a preview:Movie Trailers – Movies BlogFollow us on Facebook and Twitter.
