Last time we spoke to Pillar Point, songwriter Scott Reitherman was bummed about having to cancel his hometown debut due to the insane Mexican kidnapping of headliners Delorean.

But these are happier days, and Seattle’s Pillar Point has finally begun to peek its synth-pop out into the world. Today, we get a brand new track from the Polyvinyl signess, and it was more than worth the wait. “Eyeballs” is a wonderful electro ear-worm that puts a new spin on the effortlessly catchy songwriting Reitherman made a name for with his other project, Throw Me The Statue. The song is a breezy, bumping, 8-bit “ode to the solitude brought about by social networks.”

Reitherman also released a trailer for his upcoming debut album, which is due out February 25 in 2014.
