It’s only been a few short months since he dropped his debut FreEP, The Eighty4 Fly Project, but the Fly Guy is already back with a new release: 1stClass in FlyWorld. The 17-track mixtape, sponsored by KUBE’s DJ B-Mello and sporting some flashy cover art, features a handful of tracks that already have a solid Web presence (I’ll go out on a limb and assume that you’ve seen the “Like Planes” video by now), a couple of more recent leaks (“HipHopShit”) and some new fire. In addition to the stellar “Free Fall” featuring Grynch and J.Pinder, one of the clear standouts is “City of Dreams,” produced by Seattle’s Red Bull Big Tune winner Risingson, a sobering self-reflection that doesn’t ditch his standard level of swag. The tape caps off with a snippet of latest Eighty4 Fly single “Seattle Girls,” an electro-infused hip-hop anthem that our fair city deserves–and strikes me as the equally primed polar opposite of Ludacris’s “Area Codes.” But for the full thing, you’re going to have to hit iTunes. After all the enjoyment you’ve gotten from the dude for free, 99 cents shouldn’t take a second thought.
