If you’re looking for a solid hip-hop party tonight, famous NYC DJ Bobbito Garcia is in town and spinning at The War Room. If you’re not familiar with who Garcia is, he’s sort of a hip-hop renaissance man who ran his own record label, was half of the quasi legendary Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito radio show in the mid 90s, used to write a column for VIBE magazine, now puts out Bounce magazine, and is a hell of a sneakerhead and vinyl collector. I’m not sure how often Bobbito comes out to Seattle, but I’d say this is a DJ set that’s worth checking out. His music selection is top notch, and he’s a part of the Rock Steady Crew which speaks volumes. Doors are at 9 p.m. and admission is $10.
