If you’re looking for a bit of Seattle hip-hop nostalgia, there’s a party happening at The Contour this evening celebrating local filmmaker Georgio Brown’s 18th year of running the Coolout Network. Anyone that knows Brown has seen him recording hip-hop shows and doing interviews with artists for almost as long as the genre has existed here. He’s got the most footage of everyone from the early days up till now. Tonight, in addition to it being his birthday, he’s got 18 different performers rapping to represent every year that he’s been collecting footage. Of course, some of the old school videos will be playing throughout the night, and the rest of the time is a big party.
