If somebody in a costume knocks on your door this Saturday, October

If somebody in a costume knocks on your door this Saturday, October 27, they could either have the dates confused or they could be representatives from the Washington Bus, looking for commitments to vote, not candy. The Washington Bus is teaming up with Washington United For Marriage to host Trick Or Vote, a Get Out The Vote canvassing event encouraging all citizens to vote to approve Referendum 74. The canvassing starts at 1 p.m., and following everyone’s day of hard work, there’s going to be a Halloween party at Temple de Hirsch Sinai featuring a DJ set from Beat Connection and free food provided by the delectable Thai restaurant Little Uncle. So, to recap, that’s an evening of some of the city’s best food and music, an extra chance to get dressed up in your Halloween costume, plus a fulfilling day of working for an incredibly worthwhile cause. How to sign up? Hit the Trick or Vote page on Washington Bus’s website to register to participate.
