I should have figured this was coming, but I’m still bummed. Aviation Records founder Kerry Zettel told me when I interviewed him a few weeks ago that he was much more focused on his (somewhat) quieter project, See Me River, than on his noisy calling card Das Llamas, despite the fact that the DLs were about to put out a new record. Now comes word that that band is on one of those dreaded “indefinite” hiatuses. We all know how that worked out for Sleater-Kinney.Aside from Zettel’s preferences, I believe they were losing one member to academic pursuits, so I guess there was no way around that.ht to TIG and Sound on the Sound
